Special Programs:

Among the 16 undergraduate academic areas at Adams State, our most popular degrees are business, biology, kinesiology, nursing, teacher education and sociology. In addition, we have a new programs in outdoor education and leadership as well as a new food studies. Students have the opportunity for The Adams Experience with our recently reformed curriculum that includes undergraduate research, internships, interdisciplinary learning, capstone projects and more.

Adams State University is a comprehensive 4-year public institution located in the San Luis Valley of rural southern Colorado in Alamosa. The state’s first federally designated Hispanic Serving Institution, ASU’s mission is to educate, serve, and inspire its diverse populations in the pursuit of their lifelong dreams and ambitions. Currently, students can earn a bachelor’s degree in 16 different areas, with 53 emphases, five teacher licensure programs and 10 pre-professional programs, in addition to master’s and doctoral degrees.
